First, the important news: Vanilla was rolled back by three hours following a conflict between two towns. Below, we explain what happened and the decision we made. We have also rounded up the updates to Pillars, Bedwars and the online map.

Vanilla: the rollback and town wars

Two towns decided to wage war, but it turned into a complete madhouse. The fallout from this conflict forced us to roll the server back by three hours.

Why three hours rather than one? The length of the rollback comes down to the backup schedule: backups are created at three-hour intervals. Changes made during the affected period were lost.

There will be no more town wars. This was the first and last time.

Pillars update

Three game modes

We added Classic, Chaos and Blitz. In Chaos, random events occur during the match. In Blitz, items are given out faster and matches are shorter.

Daily quests

We prepared 100 different quests. Five are available each day, one from each of several categories. Objectives include combat, comebacks, shield defense, building and exploring the arenas.

Completing quests can earn you up to 75 coins per day. Quests reset at 00:00 Moscow time.

Shop and cosmetics

The shop now includes:

  • 10 new cages;
  • 7 kill message packs;
  • 8 death sounds.

We revised cosmetic prices: rare items now cost more, and products are sorted by price, from free to the most expensive.

Arenas, menus and leaderboards

You can choose a specific arena again, and we improved the entry and play-again menus. We fixed the inaccessible arenas — all 38 are now available.

We added a hologram that cycles through top-10 leaderboards for wins, kills, points, rounds played and longest win streak.

Your purchases and stats in Pillars have been preserved. We transferred 70 players’ previous progress to their new accounts.

Bedwars: 16 maps and 24 arenas

We prepared 16 different maps and 24 arenas for four formats:

  • 3 Solo arenas;
  • 5 Doubles arenas;
  • 8 Triples arenas;
  • 8 teams-of-four arenas.

You can join the mode through the Bedwars NPC.

Other changes:

  • Fixed the “Items” shop and configured its selection, prices, upgrades and traps separately for Solo/Doubles and Triples/teams of four.
  • Added Lucky Chest and the mace to all game formats.
  • Moved the beds so that spawn protection does not prevent players from building defenses around them.
  • Configured arena restoration, return to the hub, stats and restoration of players’ original inventories.
  • Enabled faster sword attacks in Bedwars. Attack speed for the mace and tools is unchanged; other worlds use the normal combat system.

Vanilla: the online map and skins

We added “Арт мир” (Art World) to the online map, along with convenient buttons for switching between worlds. You can now view map art directly in your browser. To open the map and learn how to use it, visit the online map page.

You can find details about the world on the Art World page. There is a designated zone for building 18+ map art; its boundaries and the rules for using finished maps are described in rule 4.2.7. The online map displays a warning about this content before you open Art World.

We also fixed player heads on the leaderboard: they now match players’ selected skins.
